Well designed and more cost-effective: EPC Engineering & Technologies GmbH adapts an exhaust gas treatment system for a complex chemical plant

More efficient and safer: Quadrimex Sulfur Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG entrusted EPC Engineering & Technologies GmbH with the design, specification and implementation of two gas scrubbers for exhaust gas treatment in one of its chemical plants. After thorough simulation of various load cases and evaluation of various possible solutions, the technology provider, headquartered in Arnstadt, together with Quadrimex, was able to reduce the number of gas scrubbers required from two to just one and implement a risk-free scrubbing liquid (water).

The plant of Quadrimex Sulfur Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG at the Leuna site produces ammonium sulfide, sodium hydrogen sulfide and sodium sulfide based on hydrogen sulfide. These are used, for example, as flotation agents in ore processing (e.g. extraction of copper, molybdenum, cobalt, zinc, nickel, manganese, ...), grayling in the leather industry, heavy metal precipitation in waste, waste water and exhaust air treatment or as feedstock in the power process in the paper industry.
